.5

Heeeeyyy yooouuu guuuyss!  I'm back! I had a lot of learning to do, so I couldn't blog.  Mom said I had to have sitting practice so that when we went to California I could sit on the beach.  Needless to say, I was so tired after school and sitting that I had to go straight to bed.  BUT, while I was gone, I did some cool things.

LIKE - turn 6 months old.  Also know as .5 years.  Also known as awesome!

I sleep through the night, I laugh all the time, I eat pureed food, I get really angry when I'm hungry and mom thinks she has to change my diaper before I eat.  Like, REALLY angry.  I chat and squeal and pretty much melt Mom and Dad all day long with my cute.

Here's my Caleb sign.

Close up!

And here I am having tummy time.  Usually I have sitting practice, fall over, then roll over to be on my tummy.  Sitting up is so overrated.

A Day in the Life of Bean

School sure is hard.  Because I'm so handsome, I thought I could get by on just my looks.  But no.  Mom's all "what if you get hit by an ugly bus?!"  So, I am making sure I am kind and smart and strong too!

I keep really busy.

First, I decided to take some art classes to explore my sensitive side.

Easing into it with Squish Bags
Loving the squish bag!
Trying the real thing
Yea paint!

Also, music is a form of art.  I practice singing to mommy all the time.  But percussion is super fun too!

Daddy says it is never to early to start training for football season.  Down, set, HIKE!

Oohhh!  Look who recovered the fish fumble!  Go Team Caleb!

It is also important to take time to sit back, relax, and have a little fun.  Especially in a germ infested ball pool.

After a little R&R, it's time to go back to calisthenics during gym time.

I still take time out to flirt with my teacher friends!

Cross training is uber important.
Water aerobics

Core work

Taking floor class very seriously.

At the end of it all, I get to play with the toy basket - and even pick my own toys!

Ahhh, reward is sweet.  Time for me to go excel at nap class!

Splish Splash

You can call me Michael Phelps, the cute version.

Man, all this swimming and cuteness sure wears a kid out.

Red White and PIcture Fails

Don't worry friends, Mom is still nutso.  And she still have lots of "visions" about pictures.  I keep not cooperating so she gets the idea, but she's totally stubborn.  Wait until you see her Halloween and Christmas pictures.  They only succeed on Pinterest.

At least she got one picture right.  Me and my girlfriend, E.  Stars and stripes - we were practically made for each other!

The big 0-5

Once again, I got super busy with meet & greets and other fun things, so I forgot to update you all on my progress!

Technically I am now 6 months old, but we skipped right over the big 0-5!

I have a lot of new faces, including a frog face.

I try to make sure to keep mom happy, so I smile by my name sign pretty easily now.  Although I still make her make funny faces and noises.  I don't want to be TOO easy on her.

I enjoy giggling, being thrown in the air, playing "don't drop the baby," being outside, playing with my Josie and my kittens, the produce aisle, and putting EVERYTHING in my mouth.  No teeth yet though!

I sleep 11-12 hours every night and Mom and Dad are ridiculously in love with me.

School!

Mom and Dad have to go to work all day and I think they just play on their computers and talk to people.  I have actual hard work to do!

First, I have to practice my sitting skills like, ALL the time.

Then they make me play tummy time.

I also have to work on my eating skills

And I have gym class where we play with (and eat) sensory balls.

I have to take a break from all the hard work to flirt with Robbin and Debbie, my two main day care lady-friends.  Otherwise, they might forget to snuggle me.

Then it's back to music class.  I have to play instruments and sing along.

As if all that wasn't hard enough, then I have more sitting practice where they bribe me with a whole BOX of toys.

More crawling practice....

And finally some time with my stuffed purple-guy friend.

I mean, no wonder I don't have time to nap!  I have so much learning to do!  Luckily, I'm one of the bestest behaved babies because I don't cry much.  I much prefer smiling and laughing.  So Debbie and Robbin don't make me have too much sleep time because I don't wear my cranky pants for them.  I save those for the weekend!

Hospitals. Ick.

Another great adventure in the short life of Caleb-the-Pickle began after I threw up for a few days.  The 'rents finally took me to the doctor.   I know their doctor type, and sure enough, what did they do?  STOLE MY CLOTHES!

I was very concerned.

But Dad was all worried, so I eeked out a brave smile for him.  Mostly I was super happy to hear I didn't have to get shots.

Well pull my diaper!  They sure fooled me.  It was SO much worse than a shot!  I had to go to the ER because I was dehydrated and lethargic.  My sugar level was also pretty low.  My clothes were stolen, AGAIN (but I did get a super fun gown to wear), and I was TRICKED!  They gave me sugar drops and my pacifier and while I was blissfully sucking away, enjoying my sugary treat I was VIOLENTLY STABBED!

Just a boy and his Monkey

My IV

As you can see, I was very tired, and very little in that big bed.  I did get one BIG treat though.  Auntie Breanna was working and she came to love me.

I was really tired and she was such a good baby snuggler that I crashed out.  I got to go home after a few hours and I've made a full recovery!
